La deuxième Conférence Internationale Faust (IFC-20) se déroulera en visio conférence les 1 et 2 décembre 2020. Elle rassemblera des chercheurs, développeurs, musiciens, artistes numériques utilisant le langage de programmation Faust pour présenter leurs travaux actuels, leurs créations et projets, et discuter des orientations futures à donner au langage et sa communauté.

L’édition 2020 est organisée par le CICM (Centre de Recherches Informatique et Création Musicale) / laboratoire MUSIDANSE / l’université Paris 8.

En 2020, nous mettrons l’accent sur les projets artistiques, pédagogiques, de préservation ou ceux portés par des étudiants, réalisés en Faust. Nous mettrons à l’honneur l’utilisation de ce langage en musique mixte sur le territoire de la Seine Saint-Denis. Un atelier associera de jeunes musiciens du Conservatoire de Saint-Denis accompagnés de leurs professeurs, aux étudiants du Département de Musique de l’Université Paris 8 programmant en Faust.

La conférence proposera des sessions de présentations d’articles, ainsi que des tables rondes, des démonstrations et tutoriels, et des événements artistiques avec un concert de compositions utilisant Faust, ainsi que la présentation d’installations.

The Second International Faust Conference (IFC-20) will take place by teleconferencing (Saint-Denis, France) on December 1-2, 2020. It aims at gathering researchers, developers, musicians, computer artists using the Faust programming language to present current works, creations and projects and discuss future directions for Faust and its community. The 2020 edition is organized by theCICM (Centre de Recherches Informatique et Création Musicale) / the MUSIDANSE Lab / the Université Paris 8.

In 2020, we will put a special focus on artistic, pedagogical, preservation and student projects made with Faust, as well as on the use of this language in mixed music on the Seine Saint-Denis territory. A workshop will bring together young musicians from Saint-Denis Conservatory with their professors, and students from the Music Department of Paris 8 University programming in Faust.

The conference will propose sessions of paper presentations, as well as thematic round tables, demonstrations and tutorials, and artistic events with a concert of music pieces and the exhibition of installations using Faust.
